The Minty Student Journey
At Minty Charter we believe the K-12 education experience is a journey. Many of our graduates have started with us as Kindergarteners and their journey from grade to grade, from elementary to middle to high school has been a journey that we've guided along their abilities, interests, needs and plans for the future. We understand the need to focus on a student's current grade, but we want families to trust and enjoy the student experience to be a 12-year journey.
Something Extra : Extracurriculars
Sports
Sports are a part of everyday life at Minty Charter School. It builds character and teamwork. Intramural sports give students opportunities to play and learn on the field during school hours.
Art
Creativity is part of every student's intellect, and it is best developed starting at an early age. Art Club is an opportunity to exercise an important part of the child's intellect and challenge their young minds.
Culinary Arts
The culinary arts are the source of great joy in our communities, and cooking and eating can be fun, enjoyable, but also a great way to explore and learn about science and world cultures!
Robotics
Learning robotics can be all fun and games! Our Lego Robotics Club offers our young elementary students an avenue to explore and learn about the world of robotics, pairing skills they may already have with new ones.
Book Club
Reading and writing are essential skills that Minty Charter students must master to be successful in just about every subject. The Minty School book club is a club of clubs. Each grade has multiple clubs oriented along the interests of readers. This teams up students of like interests to explore books and readings they can share. The Minty School book club experience adds one additional dimension: story telling. As part of the book club program, students prepare skits, multi-media presentations and essays they share with fellow students. This develops the understanding, interpretation and expression of literature, developing more well-rounded students.
